Handgun Familiarization and Safety Course (W-HFSC) $99
This introductory course will provide the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own, handle safely, and store handguns. The instruction is the specific perspective of the modern female handgun owner. Additionally, we build confidence and empower female shooters through individual coaching and hands-on to develop proper handgun shooting skills (loading/unloading, stance, grip, and acquiring correct sight alignment/sight picture). Participants will demonstrate and perform the operating functions of double-action revolvers and semi-automatic handguns. Extensive practice through training aids and dry-firing techniques will solidify proper shooting skills. In addition, this instruction builds a solid foundation for participants to gain the confidence and knowledge to operate various handguns safely. This course is the ideal education for women seeking a Utah Concealed Firearms Permit. The class includes an instruction manual and the classroom use of training firearms—substantial time for individualized attention and Q&A. All training is conducted in the classroom.
Intermediate Handgun Course
(IHC) $99

Women’s Only Intermediate Handgun Course (W-IHC) $99

Utah Concealed Firearms Permit Course (CFP) $79
This CFP course is designed to help you prepare to carry a firearm safely, legally, and confidently. The course fulfills the educational requirement to apply for Utah Concealed Firearms Permits. Additionally, valid Utah residents enjoy reciprocity in 37 states, while non-residents have reciprocity in 32 states.
The course will cover all current laws regarding armed self-defense and essential legal aspects. Topics include:
- Traveling with firearms
- Purchasing firearms
- Civil liability considerations
- Key factors for selecting a carry firearm
- Handgun operation and functions
- Situational awareness
- Defensive shooting strategies.
The course includes all necessary paperwork, passport photographs, and fingerprints. Please note that the course fee does not cover the additional application fee paid to the State of Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI), which is $52.00 for Utah residents and $62.00 for non-residents. Utah Concealed Firearms Permit and Handgun Familiarization and Safety Course (W-Hybrid): $149
This six-hour Women's Only Hybrid course is designed for individuals new to pistol use or those seeking a refresher while pursuing their Utah Concealed Firearms Permit. The course combines two women-specific classes, providing knowledge, skills, and confidence to own, handle safely, and store handguns.
Participants will engage in individualized coaching and hands-on practice to develop essential shooting skills, including loading, unloading, stance, grip, and sight alignment. The course also covers the operation of double-action revolvers and semi-automatic handguns, reinforcing techniques through training aids and dry-firing exercises.
The curriculum meets the education requirement for the Utah Concealed Firearms Permit, allowing valid Utah residents to carry in 37 states and non-residents in 32 states. Topics include armed self-defense laws, firearm travel, purchasing firearms, civil liability, and situational awareness.
All necessary paperwork, passport photos, and fingerprints are included.

We have designed this course to help people navigate the wide range of options for carrying firearms and to assist in deciding which option works best for them. We cover holster selection, considerations, best applications, and defensive ammo options. The course also addresses practical concerns associated with carrying a firearm daily or occasionally. Our primary focus is to help individuals make sense of the numerous carrying options and equipment available today, identify suitable firearm options, and provide tailored recommendations based on individual needs. Please note that this course is classroom-based and does not involve shooting.
Advance Carry Course (ACC) $99
Now that you have decided on how you wish to carry your firearm. It is time to ensure you can access and draw it in various settings and positions. This course gives you the necessary skills and capabilities to safely, efficiently, and effectively remove your firearm from concealed positions. We will spend time developing your drawing skills and doing so from various positions, seated, prone, and supine, preparing you to be ready to use your firearm in that critical time of need. We do this from a classroom setting to help build the vital habits and skills needed to prevail in a violent encounter. Before taking this class, we recommend carrying a firearm and holster of choice for a while. So, let us help you Prepare, Protect, and Prevail! All training is conducted in the classroom only.
